  40.                    README FOR BTRIEVE v4.11 PATCHES
  41.  
  42. This README file of BTR411.EXE accompanies the patches for Btrieve version
  43. 4.11.  The patches are for DOS, IBM-PC Network, OS/2, VAP, and XENIX
  44. environments.
  45.  
  46. This set of patches includes fixes to all known problems in the
  47. environments listed above.  All patches are listed in the BUGS.41C file and
  48. the XEN411.DOC file.  All patches, except for the Btrieve for DOS patches,
  49. must be applied manually using DEBUG.COM.
  50.  
  51. The Btrieve for DOS 3.1 patches can be applied by using the batch file,
  52. FIXDOS31.BAT.

  55. To apply patches to Btrieve DOS 3.1 Network Version ONLY:
  56.  
  57. 1. Copy all of these files to the directory on your system that contains
  58. BTRIEVE.EXE and make this the default directory.
  59.  
  60. 2. Make sure that DEBUG.COM is available on the system. (DEBUG.COM can be
  61. found on your DOS diskettes)
  62.  
  63. 3. Run FIXDOS31.BAT
  64.  
  65. 4. The patches have been applied.
  66.  
  67. * Note: DEBUG.COM may cause your system to hang if you have DOSEDIT.COM
  68. (keyboard enhancer) loaded in memory.

  71. BUGS.41C is the listing of the problems that will be fixed by applying the
  72. above patch files.  Please read the document. At the beginning of each
  73. problem description there is a listing in which version(s) a bug is
  74. relevant.
